Samsung to reveal foldable Galaxy phone this week

Tech innovator and manufacturer Royole has released the world's first commercial foldable smartphone. Royole Corporation, a California-based start-up, last week unveiled FlexPai, a 7.8-inch foldable device with as many as three screens.

It is further being speculated that Samsung might announce its first foldable smartphone, the Galaxy F at the company's upcoming developer conference which will be held in San Francisco starting November 7, 2018.

Koh added that the company was "focusing on developing innovations that will be genuinely accepted and liked by consumers" for the foldable phones.

Samsung has always been rumoured to be working on a foldable phone.

Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles Rematch to Headline WWE Survivor Series
WWE is now on an overseas tour in Europe where live events will take place in Scotland, Spain, England, Italy, and Germany. Instead, the Beast will battle AJ Styles in a champion vs champion bout at Survivor Series later this month.

Samsung Mobile on Sunday changed its Facebook profile photo to an image of the Samsung logo folded in half. The larger, main display on the inside turns inactive when folded and shows up on the smaller display on the outside. And even if Samsung doesn't have even a prototype to show, it will probably drop hints about that upcoming phone through that foldable display UX discussion.

According to this report, Samsung Display will start mass production of components this month, but Samsung isn't looking to sell millions of this device because the price is said to be very high.

Bill Liu, founder and CEO of Royole during the conference said, "The Royole FlexPai foldable smartphone provides mobile phone users with a revolutionary experience compared to traditional phones", Liu said. But until that happens, it's very hard to get excited about a foldable phone that costs more than $1300 and won't have reliable software. The Korean giant is eager to know about the initial comments about the newly designed flexible device. We haven't attended an SDC in years, but because of the hype surrounding this foldable display device, you'll find me in SF later this week.

Do you plan on buying the foldable Galaxy F? The company could first unveil the phone in its homeland followed by other countries.
