Spice Girls announce tour dates

Victoria Beckham has sent a message of support to Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Horner and Mel B as they reunite for a Spice Girls UK tour.

The Spice Up Your Life hitmakers confirmed four of the group - Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, Mel C and Mel B - will be reuniting for six concerts in the United Kingdom next summer in a spoof news bulletin they shared on Twitter.

The Spice Girls have announced their comeback today.

It is not known why Victoria Beckham will not be joining the reunion tour. Posh Spice, will not participate in the tour.

The 1990s pop phenomenon will take the stage in six British cities next year, including Manchester on June 1, the Scottish capital Edinburgh a week later and culminating at Wembley on June 15.

Ahead of the announcement Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) left the door open to Beckham's possible involvement.

Ticket prices have not yet been announced, but in 2007, tickets were advertised for resale, costing up to £900, with some legitimate tickets being originally priced at £115.

Mel C added: 'We can't be falling out now if we're going on tour!'

On Monday the Spice Girls also entered the Twittersphere and helped convince some fans they were now a foursome.

"We are going on tour", Geri Halliwell says. "It's just the four of us".

Mel B hinted at the tour minus Beckham last week on Halloween when she went dressed as her with the placard 'No I am not going on tour'. After all, she has said time and again that she doesn't want to go on tour.

ET previously reported that the hit girl group was set to reunite for an eight-show stadium tour in the United Kingdom next year.

The group is set to reveal all the details of the tour around Monday morning, but Baby Spice.

The Spice Girls will be coming to the Stadium of Light on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in front of a 50,000 capacity crowd.
