Trump blames media as two more suspicious packages found

Reporters who work for publications that have "gotten on Trump's bad side" find themselves ignored by him, says news site Mother Jones. "Mainstream Media must clean up its act, FAST!"

Investigators have concluded that white powder found with a suspicious device this week is "not biological" - but they said that the devices are "something that should be taken seriously".

The package's removal comes a day after at least seven suspicious packages sent to Trump critics, including former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan, CNN's NY offices, former Vice President Joe Biden and Hungarian-American liberal philanthropist George Soros, were intercepted by authorities.

The NYPD Bomb Squad responded to Lower Manhattan on Thursday to remove the device and transport it to a safe location. A supporter of the Democratic Party, De Niro has openly criticized Trump, saying he's "so blatantly stupid" and, onstage at the Tony's, "fuck Trump".

It follows several packages sent to former presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, as well as news organization CNN, Hilary Clinton, and John Brennan.

Defending his comment, Trump, in a tweet, blamed the incorrect reporting by the media for the current disharmony in the country. "Your inflammatory rhetoric, insults, lies, & encouragement of physical violence are disgraceful".

Yesterday, the Time Warner Center was evacuated because of the bomb sent to CNN.

The motive is unknown, but the recipients are all prominent targets of right-wing criticism and, in many cases, of Trump himself.

The president revoked Brennan's security clearance after the ex-CIA chief, a veteran intelligence official in Democratic and Republican administrations, lambasted Trump's Russian Federation summit performance as "nothing short of treasonous".

President Donald Trump on Wednesday condemned the attempted bomb attacks and called on Americans to "come together".

"Let's see if she gets away with it", he said in August. "We should not mob people in public spaces or destroy public property. That's what we want". Democratic House and Senate leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer both said that conciliatory talk sounds "hollow" coming from Trump.

Authorities have not announced any leads on the identity of the sender of the explosives.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement: "These terrorising acts are despicable, and anyone responsible will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law".

Two officials told The Associated Press that a person working at De Niro's Manhattan office called police after seeing images of a package bomb sent to CNN and recalling a similar package addressed to the actor.

New York City Police Commissioner James O'Neill says investigators are reviewing security video to see if they can identify a courier believed to have delivered the pipe bomb package to CNN's office.

Suspicious packages sent Wednesday to prominent Democrats also contained her return address.

Neither Obama nor Clinton received the packages or were at risk of receiving them, it said.

The FBI confirms there is law enforcement activity at the US mail facility in New Castle, Delaware.

A law enforcement official who spoke with the New York Times stated that the device sent to De Niro "appears to be from the same sender" as the other packages.

The U.S. Postal Service has inspectors who are trained to recognize suspicious mail and operate X-ray machines as part of its screening process, officials said. Recently the president said that a "lot of money" was given to a caravan of migrants traveling toward Mexico and the United States, leading The New York Times to file a story headlined, "Did Democrats, or George Soros, Fund Migrant Caravan?"

The first in the series of explosive devices was found Monday in a mailbox outside the NY home of billionaire philanthropist George Soros, a major donor to Democratic candidates.

Federal Bureau of Investigation officials said at a news conference that the devices appeared to be crude pipe bombs. "The protectees [Obama and the Clintons] did not receive the packages nor were they at risk of receiving them".
