Man cites ‘Trump Defense’ after being accused of groping woman on flight

Alexander, whose hands matched those described by the victim - "thick fingers, were hairy and dirty finger nails" - was arrested when the plane landed. According to court documents, an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent heard the man later say that President Trump had said that it was OK to grab women by their private parts.

Bruce Alexander, a 49-year-old man from Tampa, was arrested on a charge of abusive sexual contact after an in-flight incident on October 21.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office in New Mexico, Bruce Michael Alexander was traveling on a Southwest Airlines flight from Houston to Albuquerque on Sunday when he was accused of inappropriately touching a woman sitting in front of him. When she woke up to Alexander's hand "at and around her 'bra line, '" she dismissed it as an accident, according to the complaint.

If found guilty, he faces a maximum penalty of two years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.

Mr. Alexander was referring to the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape released during the 2016 election that captured Mr. Trump on a hot mic talking about being able to grab women's genitals because of his celebrity status.

According to a criminal complaint, a woman said she was sleeping on the flight when she felt fingers touching her right side near her bra line.
