Jimmy Carter Says Brett Kavanaugh 'Unfit' To Serve As Supreme Court Justice

After a December 20, 2017 meeting with with Trump's chief of staff, John Kelly, and budget director, Mick Mulvaney, the GSA's commissioner for public service buildings, Dan Matthews, emailed the FBI's CFO, Richard Haley, telling him, "The meeting took an unexpected turn as soon as we got there", and asked to set up a call.

Administration emails show that President Donald Trump intervened personally to keep Federal Bureau of Investigation headquarters in downtown Washington rather than relocate it to the suburbs as had always been planned, congressional Democrats said Thursday.

Mrs. Waters said it's important for voters to dust themselves off ahead of the midterm elections on November 6.

"I've never seen anything like the mobilization that is out there, the grassroots", she said.

He said it would likely be a "top priority" for many lawmakers on several House committees, who are concerned about the potential conflict of interest involving the president's role in government and his private businesses.

The Senate's 50-48 vote last week to approve the 53-year-old Kavanaugh's lifetime appointment was the closest on a Supreme Court justice since the 1880s, and the poll shows the public's reaction was nearly as divided.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has berated the "mob" mentality as Republicans campaign to retain their majority.

Pelosi in a letter earlier this week to her colleagues encouraged them to stay laser-focused on the agenda they're bringing to voters.

The Republicans, after a closed late night meeting said they found nothing to disqualify Kavanaugh.

"We're putting out the message that you're not alone, we're not leaving you alone with the monsters".
