Amy Schumer, Emily Ratajkowski arrested during Kavanaugh protest

Aside from the Kavanaugh hearings arrest, Schumer made headlines two years ago after hundreds of fans walked out of her show as she insulted then-candidate Donald Trump.

Fifteen minutes later, MSNBC reported that Schumer is being "detained with other anti-Kavanaugh protesters", though it's unclear what that means legally.

Amy Schumer attended the #StopKavanaugh protest in Washington, DC, on Thursday. Have you written three furious tweets to, I don't know maybe, someone who sexually assaulted someone?

Since this is Amy Schumer, and the internet continues to be consistently very bad to women, criticism of the star has been swift, with some claiming that this is a self-aggrandizing publicity stunt on her part, rather than a political stand.

Amy Schumer and Emily Ratajkowski have been arrested.

After his nomination cleared a key hurdle in the Senate on Friday, Schumer shared pictures from the rally showing protesters holding placards reading slogans such as, "I am a survivor and I vote" and "don't betray women".

Police restart an investigation into alleged rape by Cristiano Ronaldo
Kathryn Mayorga said that the Portuguese footballer sexually assaulted her during a party in his hotel room suite in 2009. At that time, Kathryn alleges that Ronaldo turned her over and forcibly sodomized her while she screamed "no" repeatedly.

Another Twitter user posted a video of Schumer that was apparently sent by the user's mother, who is also protesting in the Hart Senate Office Building.

Comedian Amy Schumer has been detained during a protest against Brett Kavanaugh's Supreme Court nomination. Men that hurt women can't hold managerial positions.

"Let's stay together! Let's fight!" She claimed she was "arrested" and said Kavanaugh's confirmation would be "a message to women in this country that they do not matter". "I demand a government that acknowledges, respects and supports women as much as it does men", Ratajkowski wrote on Instagram.

Kavanaugh has repeatedly denied the allegations.

Senators are due to vote on whether he should join the US Supreme Court today, paving the way for a full vote tomorrow.

However, the Federal Bureau of Investigation did not examine allegations made by a third woman, Julie Swetnick, that Judge Kavanaugh was involved in the drugging and sexual assault of girls at house parties in the 1980s.
