The Big Thing Facebook Didn't Say About Oculus Quest

Facebook's goal was to provide users with a completely untethered and free experience in virtual reality, combining the capabilities of the Oculus Rift with the freedom of the Oculus Go which launched earlier this year. The device features positional inside-out tracking, as well as tracking for the hand controllers.

During his brief time on stage, Zuckerberg said he believes the future of VR is tether-free, with greater degrees of freedom that open the door to more engaging VR experiences. It will ship with 50 plus launch titles and Oculus Touch controllers. This lets you move around, taking it up a notch from the Go and situating it closer to the Rift, which costs the same amount, but is wired and requires room sensors to achieve this same feat.

Insight also supports multi-room guardian. It's fairly cheap too, starting at $399 for the 64GB model that comes with Oculus Quest and two Oculus Touch controllers.

Oculus announced a new VR headset today to complete its first generation of VR headsets.

United return to action on Tuesday night when they host Derby County in the Carabao Cup . Many are criticising Pogba for venting his frustration to the media.

Facebook says users will be able to wander around in up to 4,000 square feet of spacewhile using the headset.

"We have this saying at Facebook that the journey is only 1 percent finished, and in this case, not even quite", Zuckerberg said, drawing laughs from the audience. You need a good CPU, and if you want Rift level content you really need a powerful GPU - such as AMD's Radeon RX 56 - which goes for almost $700, or you need to suck it up and go with crummier graphics while saving money on something like Nvidia's GeForce GTX 970 - which can be had for around $350 if you're lucky.

Also in contrast to the Go, the Oculus Quest can run both mobile and PC VR games. Speaking of the future, Oculus also announced that the Quest is capable of mixed reality. Notably absent was the Gear VR headset, which was created through a partnership with Samsung and Oculus.
