Apple Watch Series 4 Makes Its Debut at iPhone Event

"This update really establishes the company's increasing efforts to push the watch as a serious medical device". The device will be available for $399, with the cellular model selling for $499.

The Apple Watch Series 4 will be available from 21 September, with orders starting this Friday, 14 September on Apple.com for the United Kingdom, or here for the US.

The Series 4 will come in silver, gold and space gray, as well as two polished stainless steel varieties. These include a Pure Platinum/Black Sport Band and a Summit White Sport Loop Band.

Apple on Wednesday introduced the Apple Watch Series 4, a brand-new version of its best-selling smartwatch.

Orders can be placed from September 14, and shipping will begin September 21.

During its big confab at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park, Apple showcased the new Apple Watch Series 4. Because the watch models are both thinner, they take up less overall volume.

England 1-2 Spain: Hosts lose Nations League opener at Wembley
Gareth Southgate gave a start to Marcus Rashford , a player now struggling to make his mark with Manchester United this season. You know that leads to a European Championship, which we have games at Wembley, which is going to be a brilliant experience.

The watch runs watchOS 5, which will roll out for existing Apple Watches on September 17. Apple will continue to offer the Apple Watch Series 3 at a lower starting price of $279. It has been optimised for phone calls, Siri and Walkie-Talkie. The microphone has been moved to the opposite side of the device to keep it away from the speaker (to cut down on echo).

Moving to the battery life, Apple claims that the Watch 4 will have an 18-hour battery life which is similar to the older models. In the video, you can also see some of the UI tweaks and cool new watch faces, like the one with colorful animated steam or water splashing around. The user can add contacts on the Watch Face to just touch to start a call.

Telsyte managing director Foad Fadaghi said Apple smartwatch " continued to dominate the Australian market", and the newest model was likely to receive a warm reception from consumers looking to upgrade from their current watch or basic fitness band. However, they are customizable allowing users to precisely display what information they would like to have on the screen.

The debut of the new Watch line comes just days after Apple said in a letter to the USA government that proposed tariffs on goods imported from China could raise the price of Apple Watches and other Apple products. The wearable device also has a built-in capability to perform an electrocardiogram (ECG) to monitor heart rate and other key health data, a fall detection system and emergency SOS services if the wearer is injured.

Irregular heart rhythm and ECG features will be available to U.S. customers "later this year", Williams said. It detects electrical heartbeats in the wrist and allows you to take an ECG in just 30 seconds.

"It can classify if the heart is beating in a normal pattern or whether there are signs of Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition that could lead to major health complications". Upon detecting a fall, it will ask if the user needs help.
