As a result, Thomas will play out the final year of his contract with the Seahawks.

Safety Earl Thomas announced Wednesday morning on Instagram his plan to report to the team, but indicated his displeasure over how his contract situation was handled.

Thomas wrote, "The disrespect has been noted and will not be forgotten".

As of the moment, any deal between the Seahawks and the Cowboys with regards to the fate of Thomas is unlikely to push through, especially when considering Dallas executive vice president Stephen Jones' statement last week that his team and Seattle have not had any meaningful discussions of late.

The Cowboys have no intention of offering more than a second-round draft pick for Earl Thomas and plan to go into Sunday's opener with their current roster, a source said. He urged that the team either pay him or trade him to a team willing to commit to him long-term.

Cristiano Ronaldo return to Manchester United never on, says Jose Mourinho
Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly desperate to get off the mark for Juventus although it hasn't quite happened for him in Turin so far. Ronaldo , 33, has yet to open his account in Serie A after three games, but his eight-year-old son has enjoyed blistering start.

Thomas doesn't likely want to sit out all season, and he nearly undoubtedly wouldn't, but the Seahawks have until the NFL's trade deadline to continue fining him and collecting the money from all of the games and practices he's skipping.

That has led to a stalemate that has had Seattle entertaining trade offers for Thomas since last spring.

The Seahawks, though, said no. Seattle believes Thomas is worth more than a second-round pick.

Seattle had been thought wanting at least a second-round pick all along with it thought Dallas had not offered more than a third. Chancellor missed the first two games before reporting.

Thomas had been known back in Seattle, taking a picture with a worker at Sea-Tac airport on Monday, who posted it on Twitter. That was different from the simple "no" Carroll had offered several other times in recent weeks when asked about any new contact with Thomas.
