Steelers' Le'Veon Bell expected to miss Week 1

Steelers' Le'Veon Bell expected to miss Week 1

Ohtani still awesome: Despite being told he needed Tommy John surgery earlier in the day, Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs last night.

"I think you can read in between those lines".

The crux of Bell's dispute centers on stalled contract negotiations after the Steelers placed a $14.5 million (£11.2m) franchise tag on him on March 6, even as the star running back threatened to sit out the season or even retire in January 2018 if the team did indeed place the franchise tag on him for the second consecutive season. But we've arrived at Wednesday - four days before the Steelers take on the Cleveland Browns - and Bell is nowhere to be found.

"At some point and you're like, 'All right, if you don't want to be here, it is what it is, hold out for 10 weeks", Pouncey said.

"We did pretty good then, too", Roethlisberger said.

"Football's the ultimate team sport". You're (Steelers general manager) Kevin Colbert, you're (Steelers coach) Mike Tomlin, and you possibly have a once-in-a-generation player for one more season.

Pentagon withdraws $300M in funding to Pakistan's military
Qureshi said that the upcoming visit of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other high officials was a "window of opportunity". The top United States military officer in Pakistan, General Joseph Dunford, will accompany Pompeo, according to reports .

"I played for a tough sucker, and I was afraid of him, and we played our ass off for him because we feared him", Bradshaw said on San Diego radio, speaking of Chuck Noll. "This offense is more than one guy", Roethlisberger told reporters following the meeting. Conner carried the majority of the load for the ground game in the preseason, and the progress he made since his rookie season is readily noticed. Last season when Conner would get touches, his lack of burst really showed.

"He's making seven times what I make, twice was much as [left tackle Al Villanueva] is making and we're the guys who do it for him".

For this week, it is pretty clear that Conner is a great play.

No doubt he's a top five RB in the league and believes he deserves to be paid as such, but he has to weigh his options: he can go get paid by the Jets or some other team that is going to make him be the workhorse who the team's success depends on, or he can take less and play for a playoff team and possible Super Bowl contender.

"He has worked a lot on his hands". The team appeared hopeful he would report this week - as he did a year ago to end his holdout when Week 1 began - but with Sunday's opener against the Browns looming, his support appears to be losing steam.

"I want to sack him", Garrett was quotes as saying. But if Bell signs his current tag at any time prior to November 13, the Steelers would have to either tag him a third time at a hefty price tag next offseason or let him hit free agency. I'm kinda pissed right now. "What an animal and a guy that just gets after the quarterback".
