-Four people are missing after two boats crashed and sunk on the Colorado River, ejecting more than a dozen people who were on board, authorities said Sunday.

The body of a third California resident who died after two boats collided on the Colorado River has been recovered, Arizona authorities said Tuesday.

After the crash, both boats sank as passing boaters pulled crash victims from the water.

The Mohave County Sheriff's Office said she was located downstream of Topock, Arizona, near the California border.

Mortensen says Lewis was a California resident, but her hometown hasn't been determined. Several people were rescued immediately by other boaters, and one critially injured woman was airlifted to a Las Vegas hospital, according to officials. Another seven were taken to hospitals by ambulance and treated for less serious injuries, officials said.

One boat carried 10 people and the other vessel had six aboard in a well-traveled stretch of the river, the sheriff's office said.

Numerous boats were in the water at the park on Saturday, a popular recreational area where the river's depth ranges from shallow to 30 feet.

Helicopters have been deployed, and authorities have scoured the shoreline to try to find them.

Nobody on the boats were wearing life jackets, according to Schuster.

Divers were set to search up until sundown on Sunday for the four missing, the sheriff's office said.

As of 9:00 pm, multiple agencies are continuing to search for two missing occupants.

The sheriff's office said it would continue to patrol the river "until all the unaccounted for passengers are located".
