Manchester United are now trying to fend off interest from Barcelona in midfield star Paul Pogba - and, unfortunately for the Red Devils, the transfer saga could continue long past Thursday.

Bartomeu could also include the likes of Yerry Mina or Andre Gomes to sweeten the deal for Mourinho.

Despite the 25-year-old's feelings, however, United have no intention of selling the Frenchman, according to one source, just two years after splashing out a then-world-record fee to bring him back to Old Trafford from Juventus.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has warned the club not to sell France World Cup star Paul Pogba and instead to focus on strengthening the squad. Recently, he was one of the protagonists of the French team that won the World Cup in Russian Federation.

However, the offer is much lower than you might expect for a player of the talent, age, valuation and profile of Paul Pogba.

It is understood Manchester United are now monitoring the situation with involving Mourinho and are would rather sack the Portuguese and bring in another manager than to sell Pogba.

Actor Steven Seagal appointed Russian ministry's 'special representative'
He called Putin a personal friend and expressed a desire to improve relations between the United States and Russian Federation . Seagal thanked the Russian government for his new role, describing the appointment as "a great honor".

The club has had to deny the claim that Pogba sent a text message to Woodward demanding he be allowed to leave. United fans could get excited about this signing if they did end up losing their French World Cup victor.

There is plenty of Manchester United and Arsenal gossip doing the rounds in the papers with the English giants linked with a whole host of star names ahead of deadline day.

The 29-year-old has been a regular in the Cherries midfield for the best part of eight seasons, but made only 13 Premier League appearances last year for Eddie Howe.

But while the Bavarians want €50m for Boateng, Manchester United have offered just €25m, according to German magazine Sport Bild.

The Catalan outfit are believed to have set their sights on pairing Pogba with new signing Arturo Vidal in the engine room at the Camp Nou, though lack the funds to secure an all-cash deal.
