Manchester United 'reject Barcelona swap deal' involving Paul Pogba and Yerry Mina

His working relationship with Mourinho has failed to flourish while World Cup suggested United's manager should be doing more to bring the best out of the club's most expensive player.

United start their Premier League campaign against Leicester on Friday at 8pm.

The Portuguese harshly criticised some of the younger players on tour with his team in the United States, while he has also warned the board over their lack of activity in the transfer window. With that out of the way he's coming good though we all know he can do even better.

Sterling stronger after the Bank of England raises rates
Any increase on Thursday would follow a similar rise in November 2017, when the MPC raised rates from a record low of 0.25% . At its June meeting of the monetary policy committee , the central bank had hiked rates from 6 per cent to 6.25 per cent.

The Red Devils, therefore, have limited time to acquire a replacement for Pogba and makes any deal before the transfer window in Spain closes on 31 August a near-impossibility.

And super-agent Mina Raiola has placed an offer on Barcelona's table which the Catalonian club are prepared to settle with.

And news broke earlier today that Untied were also in contact with Bayern Munich over Jerome Boateng.

Mourinho dropped Pogba from his starting XI midway through last season amid concerns over his tactical discipline, while the Frenchman argued with his manager over tactics. Everton have lined up Mina as a back-up if they can not sign Rojo but face competition from Lyon.
