Jose Mourinho Admits Manchester United May Miss Out on their Transfer Targets

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has revealed the club's new captain and vice captains ahead of the 2018-2019 season.

Mourinho is understood to be willing to let Martial leave but United are reluctant to lose money on the France worldwide and retain the option of triggering a year-long extension clause in his contract, thereby tying him down until 2020.

"We knew it was going to be hard because they have been training for more weeks than us, so I think they are in a better condition", Mata said.

Mourinho had a pretty candid message for Martial and his agent - you don't always get you want.

"Michael was one of the best in the world and one of the best that Manchester United ever had".

According to a UK Sun report, the Red Devils boss is exhausted of Martial and his agent's persistent request for a switch away from the Premier League side. Everyone will have his opinion, I think he must take back control of his career.

Jose Mourinho says that "it was good" to get Alexis Sanchez on the field for more than an hour of Manchester United's 0-0 draw against San Jose Earthquakes.

Martial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after failing to become a starter for Jose Mourinho last season.

"It was a good training session for us and I think they start their league this week, so they were at a more advanced stage than us". When you have players like Anthony, like Marcus [Rashford], Jesse [Lingard], Juan [Mata], Alexis [Sanchez], those kind of players that can change the game. That is because the Portuguese is said to not want to keep an "unhappy" player at the club will "urge" Old Trafford officials to sell.

According to The Times, the Blues and Bayern Munich are understood to hold an interest in the former Monaco ace but neither fancy matching United's £90m valuation for the attacker.

But with less than three weeks before the early transfer deadline on 9th August, Mourinho has already warned of United going into the season with no further additions.
