Battle Royale Genre to be Even More Fruitful for Publishers in 2019

Battle Royale Genre to be Even More Fruitful for Publishers in 2019

To celebrate Fortnite's first birthday (or at least Save the World's), Epic Games will today push out the v5.10 update; the game is now in downtime as the changes are applied. One of the challenges encourages players to dance next to birthday cakes on the map.

There are now ten different locations where we know you can find birthday cake and once you get there you just need to perform a dance emote.

Update: Epic has said you're going to have to wait until the store refreshes until the Challenges unlock for some players.

Manage to complete all three challenges, and you'll unlock a "Birthday Cake Back Bling".

Battle Royal birthday event challenges includes a variety of new rewards for the players.

The Fortnite Playground Mode release date is almost upon us.

Mourinho frustrated with under-strength United squad
Honestly, United produced absolutely nothing in this outing except Andreas Pereira's beauty of a free-kick. The "Red Devils" were thumped 4-1 by rivals Liverpool in the International Champions Cup.

Playground Mode V2 is the next evolution in the training ground idea from Epic Games, who are looking to make it a permanent feature in the future. These cake slices give +5 health and +5 shield instantly when consumed.

Fortnite was taken offline at 8am BST today, and as usual Epic has noted that it'll be down for roughly 2 hours. Other items being added to the game in Fortnite 5.10 is the SMG compact, a new weapon that looks set to mimic the P90 and excels at close-quarters combat.

Funko, an American Toy company, has revealed its first Fortnite: Battle Royale related figurine on Twitter. You can find the full list of updates to both the Battle Royale mode and the single-player Save the World mode via the patch notes.

But we know what you're really here for: all of the birthday loot, including a new emote, skin, spray, and Backbling.

Epic Games will be applying a new update for Battle Royale and Save The World, moving the game to the new 5.10 Patch Notes.
