Roseanne Barr says tweet "cost me everything"

Roseanne Barr says tweet

Nielsen data for the full 2017-18 TV season, out in June, showed that "Roseanne" was the No. 1 series, with a final average of 20 million viewers, but its nine-episode first revival season was also its last.

Roseanne Barr has apologised for her offensive tweet that resulted in her ABC show being cancelled, saying it "cost me everything".

"I've apologized a lot, it's been two months", Barr said.

Barr made headlines after she tweeted in May that Jarrett, who is African-American and was born in Iran, was as though the "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby".

Fox News host Sean Hannity, 56, scored the TV scoop of the year (so far) on July 26 and we couldn't take our eyes off it.

Later in the live podcast she claimed that her axing off the sitcom was a long time coming and that ABC wanted her off the show for some time.

"I made a mistake obviously".

"I'm like, 'Why can they not see my work.' And then I got really messed up thinking, in this world, it seems more that words matter more than reactions, but in the real life world, actions matter more than words", Barr said.

"Valerie, let's discuss this", Barr said. I never meant that. "And I found cigarettes from when I was 13 and they were good smokin'", she quipped.

She added that her contract with ABC protected her from any mistakes she were to possibly make. Including someone who looks like me-her skin tone looks like mine-I didn't know she was african american.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warns President Trump about ‘mother of all wars’
Pompeo on Sunday launched a harsh attack on Iran's clerical and military rulers, calling them a kleptocracy akin to the Mafia. He received frequent applause, although one audience member heckled him over the Trump administration's immigration policies.

She said on Wednesday she did not intend to watch Barr's interview.

Asked what she would say to Jarrett if she was given the opportunity, Roseanne said: "I'm sorry that you feel harm and hurt, I never meant that".

This is a developing story.

She added: 'Plus, I'd tell her she's got to get a new haircut.

Despite apologizing at times, Barr also said on the Fox interview that she felt like she had apologized enough for her actions.

Roseanne's tweet was widely criticised online and ABC acted swiftly in cancelling her popular sitcom.

She also said she found cigarettes in her mother's basement while she was hiding out there after the public backlash.

"If she's watching, I'm so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist", Barr said, speaking directly into the camera. Everyone started saying I was racist, which is the worst thing you can say to a jew especially one who grew up with to always fight extremism.

ABC has announced that it will produce a "Roseanne" spinoff called "The Conners" that features John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf and Sara Gilbert.
