It is the fifth-largest prize in the game's history, which sparked a wave of social media daydreaming about what people would do if they won.

The lucky victor of Tuesday night's half-billion dollar Mega Millions jackpot bought their ticket in San Jose. There are six that are worth $1 million and two of those were sold in New Jersey.

The ticket, which was sold at Ernie's Liquors on South White Road, in the California city had a 1-in-302.6 million chance of winning.

If you want to check your ticket, the winning numbers are 1-2-4-19-29.

Since then, in May, a ticket sold in OH won a $142 million jackpot claimed by a trust.

The jackpot is worth $522 million.

Winners have the option of taking a lump sum payment of $303 million or taking annual payments over the course of 30 years, eventually adding up to the jackpot.

That person isn't the only one walking away with some cash though, other tickets did win smaller amounts in Tuesday night's drawing.

The biggest-ever Mega Millions jackpot - $656 million - was won in March 2012.

The jackpot will now be reset to $40 million for the next drawing, which will be held on July 27.
