Goodlatte threatened the witness with contempt over his refusal to answer the question, prompting angry responses from Democrats and demands for "points of order" and that the hearing be adjourned.

Although Strzok has said through his lawyer that he was eager to tell his side of the story, he made clear his exasperation at being the focal point of a congressional hearing at a time when Russian election interference has been successfully "sowing discord in our nation and shaking faith in our institutions".

Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis of Florida asked Strzok, "The dossier".

Strzok is testifying publicly on Capitol Hill for the first time since the release of a Justice Department inspector general report that heavily criticized his comments.

Repulican Trey Gowdy of SC said Strzok exhibited "textbook bias" and in his mind had Clinton "winning the White House" before he finished her investigation.

In one particularly testy exchange, Trey Gowdy of SC questioned Mr Strzok about messages in which he said "we'll stop" Mr Trump's election and that Democrat Hillary Clinton should win 100m votes to zero. "No he won't. We'll stop it".

"Like many people, I had an expressed personal political opinions during an extraordinary presidential election", he said.

The texts included saying "we'll stop" Trump and also "F Trump".

The forecast is slightly below the 14.9 trillion won analyst average estimate in a Thomson Reuters poll. Samsung has since acknowledged its plan to expand its smartphone portfolio.

"Not at all", a defiant Strzok said. And FBI Counsel has instructed him not to answer the question.

Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., told embattled Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Peter Strzok Thursday that he deserved a Purple Heart for sitting through a public hearing that frequently veered off track and degenerated into shouting matches a couple of times. "Agent Strzok had Donald Trump impeached before he even started investigating him".

Committee members sought to question Strzok about the texts and to determine how, if at all, his anti-Trump bias impacted the investigations.

"I urge our chairmen to change course and to keep their promises to protect the integrity of the special counsel's investigation", Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) said in his opening statement Thursday. This information had the potential to derail, and quite possibly, defeat Mr. Trump.

"Because, while it's certainly possible that Mr. Giuliani is exaggerating or engaging in some sort of puffery, the reality is that also given the things that were going on, given timing that the laptop was there and he was talking about that in the context of a big surprise, it caused me great concern that he had information about that - that he should not have had", Strzok said. It sort of goes to the sort of rule that exists: you should put nothing in text or email that you are not comfortable seeing on the front page of the New York Times or on CNN's banner across the bottom of the screen there. In it, Strzok describes his reluctance to work on behalf of the special counsel, and that seemed to imply he didn't think there would be substantial findings of collusion between Russian Federation and the Trump campaign team. Together with her lover, FBI Agent Peter Strzok, she worked on the Rigged Witch Hunt, perhaps the most tainted and corrupt case EVER!

The sharp tone of Strzok's statement set the stage for a contentious hearing following hours of closed-door questioning last week.

Strzok is responding by saying he had always told the truth. When Comey discovered the laptop was in the possession of the FBI, he reopened the email investigation and alerted Congress about his decision - a fact that immediately became public with a little over a week before the election. "Where is the Attorney General?"
