PM Narendra Modi inaugurates ‘world’s largest mobile factory’ by Samsung in Noida

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and senior Samsung officials including Vice Chairman Jay Y Lee.

"Today is an important day in making India a global hub for manufacturing". The factory is located in Noida's sector-81. Samsung also has a manufacturing unit in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu as well.

"The investment reaffirms Samsungs commitment to Make- in-India and Make-for-India and to the state of Uttar Pradesh", Samsung India had stated in a statement.

"Almost every middle class Indian family is using at least one Korean product". I am delighted that Korean companies are taking part in this fast-paced India.

President Moon Jae-in on Monday focused on highlighting the potential presented by South Korea-India ties.

The South Korean company hasn't given any details but has confirmed it began producing crypto mining chips in January. The investment of Rs 5,000 crore by Samsung will strengthen India-South Korea relations,"PM Modi said". In this context, he also spoke of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), growth of digital transactions, BHIM App, and RuPay cards.

Modi said Samsung will export 30 per cent of the handsets made in Noida to other markets.
