First Lady Melania Trump makes trip to visit border detention facilities

Before leaving Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the First Lady was photographed wearing a $39 Zara military trench coat that sent a stupefying, yet clear message: "I Really Don't Care".

All the media could talk about, however, was Melania's jacket, a $40 olive green raincoat from Zara that had the odd message written on the back.

Melania was also criticized for a meeting with the queen of Spain, during which she said they discussed "ways to positively impact children", which came amid the height of the controversy surrounding the child separation policy.

The khaki green jacket appears to be one that was once sold by fashion chain Zara, a Spanish company.

Trump's spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said in an email to Fox News: "It's a jacket".

Spokesperson Ms Grisham says the unannounced visit "was 100 percent her [Melania's] idea".

A Heat Advisory is in effect for Father's Day
The area of MI under the advisory stretches from near Traverse City all the way south to the IN and OH borders. As you head out on your Father's Day, temperatures will be in the upper 70s heading into the 90s once again.

Just a few hours later, Donald Trump took to Twitter to reveal the hidden meaning behind Melania's jacket. "After today's important visit to Texas, I hope this isn't what the media is going to choose to focus on".

Trump wore the jacket as she boarded a flight en route to visit a group of migrant children in Texas. "Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!" he added on Twitter. It was certainly not hidden - it was literally emblazoned on her back.

The Trump administration has been enforcing a "zero tolerance" policy on illegal border crossers since early May.

When asked what message the first lady's jacket meant to send, spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said: "It's a jacket". She thanked the staff for their compassion and kindness and said she wanted to hear more about how her husband's administration could build on efforts to reunite children with their families.

President Trump had cited the influence of Melania and his daughter, Ivanka, in his signing the Executive Order. Noah made the same joke, but he followed it up with, "We could spend forever talking about how out of touch this makes Melania seem, but I don't really care". Melania Trump knew her surprise visit to the border would draw massive amounts of media attention. Last August, the media and public discussed the high-heeled shoes she wore to fly to Texas to view Hurricane Harvey destruction.
