Putin criticizes United States withdrawal from Iranian nuclear deal

His comments stood in marked contrast to remarks that Trump made during the summit of the Group of 7 major economic powers over the weekend in Quebec, where he lashed out at traditional allies such as Canada and said Russian Federation ought to be invited to rejoin.

Mr Putin spoke during a meeting ahead of a summit in Beijing featuring their two countries and six Asian states. Russian Federation was pushed out of the then G8 due to its annexation of Ukraine's Crimea four years ago: "We did not (choose to) leave it, our colleagues refused to come to Russian Federation due to known reasons at some point".

Special prosecutor Robert Mueller is investigating Russia's involvement in the election, including links to Trump's campaign. And I think on trade, there is a critical path, there is a way to progress altogether, ' he said, speaking in English.

The G-7 still represents almost half the world's total gross domestic product, but it has slipped behind the nations of the SCO, when economic power is measured using a formula that adjusts for the relative value of currencies and their purchasing power. If Hillary got in, I think Putin is probably going, 'Man I wish Hillary won, ' because you see what I do. France's president Emmanuel Macron also put a courageous face on the encounter. There will be no world hegemony if we know how to organize ourselves.

Russian Federation and China have responded to the US national security strategy describing them as America's top adversaries by vowing to further expand their economic, political and military cooperation.

This weekend's G7 summit in Charlevoix, Canada could hardly have gone worse.

"Why are we having a meeting without Russian Federation?"

"Today it is hard to say what these guarantees may look like or when they will come into effect", he said.

Trump plans to leave the summit four hours earlier than originally planned to fly to Singapore to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the White House said.

Trump contends that other countries "have been taking advantage of the United States on trade".

"True, the seven are still richer in per capita income, as they say, but the SCO economies are larger, and their population is much larger, too - half the world's population", Putin told reporters in Qingdao, according to a transcript of his remarks issued by the Kremlin.

"I agree with him", he said.

Elsewhere in her remarks, May underscored the need to stop having tit-for-tat actions in a trade war between the European Union and the US which began after Trump imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum imports from key allies. "The EU trade surplus with the U.S.is $151 Billion, and Canada keeps our farmers and others out".

But to Trump, the very idea of worldwide cooperation is anathema.

However, the South Carolina Republican noted that he is "not here to spread democracy" or to unite the North with South Korea . Lee complimented the bold and admirable decision by Kim and Trump to come together for the Summit.
