President Donald Trump's daughter and son in law made at least 82 million dollars in outside income while serving as senior White House advisers a year ago thanks to investment deals from companies they had previously led, news reports said on Tuesday.

Ms Trump reportedly earned $3.9m from a stake in Trump International Hotel and more than $5m from her personal brand.

Trump recently scored a batch of trademarks in China as her father continues trade talks with Beijing, garnering scrutiny from some ethics experts. Her father was inaugurated on January 20, 2017, and Ivanka Trump officially joined the White House as an unpaid senior adviser in March 2017, after her initial attempts to serve as an informal adviser raised ethics questions.

Kushner, the president's son-in-law, reported assets of at least $174 million at the end of 2017, according to a person familiar with the couple's financial disclosure documents.

She also made at least $5 million from a trust, created in March 2017, called Ivanka M. Trump Business Trust.

The White House released financial disclosure forms for other officials, including National Security Adviser John Bolton, who reported $2.2 million in income in the year and three months before he joined the administration.

Amazon break Sky Sports-BT Sport Premier League duopoly
Amazon has announced that it will show 20 Premier League football matches a season for the next three years from 2019. The deal has been signed for three seasons, bringing the total number of matches to 60.

The couple's income originates from a wide variety of sources, including investments, trusts, dozens of real estate transactions, a book advance of almost $300,000 for Ivanka Trump, and stakes in businesses like the almost $4 million Ivanka Trump earned from her interest in the Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. Trump was paid a $289,300 advance by Penguin Random House for her book, "Women Who Work".

Kushner brought in at least $5 million from Quail Ridge, a Kushner Cos. apartment complex in Plainsboro, N.J.

In 2017, Trump's assets were estimated to be valued between $55.3 million and $75.6 million and Kushner's between $179 million and $735 million, reported the Washington Post. That income included $US3.9 million from the Trump International Hotel located in Washington and $US2 million in salary and severance from the Trump Organisation.

A rep for the couple said they complied with all the ethics rules and their net worth has largely remained unchanged while working in the White House.

A spokesman for the couple said Monday that the couple's disclosure portrayed both assets and debts that have not changed much over the past year - and stressed that Kushner and Ivanka Trump have both complied with all federal ethics rules. Several of those properties created at least $5 million in passive income previous year.
