Roseanne Barr Blasted for Blaming Michelle Obama for Show Getting Pulled

WGRZ-TV (Channel 2) did a story about Caputo's pipe dream, with anchor Scott Levin introducing the piece by Kelly Dudzik by saying "Roseanne's show might be able to make a comeback sooner that you think".

The sitcom star began another Twitter rant on Thursday telling her followers that she begged ABC not to cancel her show.

Similarly, when Barr's onscreen son Michael Fishman condemned her behaviour, she wrote back, "You throw me under the bus".

As a result of Barr's tweets, ABC canceled the series, and the president of ABC Entertainment, Channing Dungey, released the following: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have made a decision to cancel her show".

Barr, a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump who has previously used Twitter to voice hard-right and conspiracy theorist views, has been dropped by her talent agency ICM amid a wave of public outrage over the tweet. That's a fact. Donald Trump - Roseanne and I have both known him 30 years.

Barr's response to some of the other cast members' reactions were not so kind.

Hours after the initial tweet, however, ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey released a statement canceling Roseanne as a result of Barr's statement.
