Microsoft Announces Surface Hub 2 With Four New Features

We can expect more details on Microsoft Surface 2 like full specifications and a price range ahead of the 2019 release. This allows you to place four Surface Hub 2 tablets side by side to make one giant screen or to utilize them individually to display different documents on each screen. The Surface Hub 2 with only a 50.5-inch display as Microsoft will scrap the larger display size next year. Even with this much sleeker look, it still contains speakers, a far-field microphone array, and a camera. Microsoft's Surface Hub 2 features Dynamic Rotation, which lets users rotate the device to portrait or landscape for the best view and usability, and the rotating experience is simply attractive.

Microsoft gave an early look at its next-generation Surface Hub 2 today. By announcing it almost a year early, Microsoft is possibly aiming to outpace its competition and rope in a few businesses who typically order such devices in advance. Surface Hub 1, which came in two models, a 55-inch one for $9,000 and an 84-inch one for $22,000.

Powering the Surface Hub is Windows 10 Team, a customized version of Windows 10 Enterprise.

The Surface Hub 2 won't be battery-powered, though Microsoft's not saying exactly what technology will power it. If you want to buy one of these new devices, look for availability coming in 2019 but with pricing not yet finalized, getting your purchase order approved could be a bit more hard. When mounted on a wall, up to four Surface Hub 2s can be daisy-chained, allowing them to function separately, or project a cohesive picture that straddles more than one Surface Hub 2.
