Tigers Take Game One From Mariners, 4-3

Major League Baseball action on Sunday afternoon and the American League West will square off with the American League Central as the Seattle Mariners grapple with the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan in the final game of a three-game series. Cano worked a full count against Detroit southpaw Blaine Hardy in his second at-bat, then took an 88-MPH fastball off of his right hand near the pinky area.

Cano was replaced at second base by Andrew Romine.

With the infield in, Iglesias slapped a single up the middle to set off another late celebration for the Tigers, who have already played 16 one-run games this season (and won eight of them).

Robinson Cano's three-run homer helped the Mariners earn a doubleheader split. Haniger is hitting.297/.384/.609 with 10 home runs, 30 RBIs and 19 runs scored, while Cano (.286/.386/.421) has produced three homers, 20 RBIs and 22 runs scored.

In 2017, the 5-foot-11, 200-pound right-hander went 1-1 with a 4.24 ERA (22 ER, 46.2 IP) with 52 strikeouts and 20 walks in 41 relief appearances with the Mariners.

One Palestinian was shot dead and at least 170 Palestinians were wounded in the clashes on Friday, Palestinian sources reported. One man walked onto the stage with an effigy of President Donald Trump dangling from a noose.

"It needed to be challenged after the fact when I saw it", said bench coach Manny Acta, who was filling in for Scott Servais as Seattle's manager. Seattle tied it in the fourth on Dee Gordon's RBI single.

He went 2-for-4 in the Tigers' 4-3 win over the Mariners earlier Saturday. The under is 4-0-1 in Detroit's last five during game three of a series and 5-2 in their last seven Sunday games. With two out, Gordon hit a grounder to the right side, but Jimenez mishandled the toss from first baseman John Hicks for an error, loading the bases. Detroit also recalled left-hander Ryan Carpenter from Toledo to be the 26th man for the second game of the doubleheader.

The Mariners have hit 14 home runs in their last 10 games.

Castellanos was hit in the first inning by a pitch from Seattle starter Felix Hernandez.
