Leroy Sane set for Man City contract talks

The outgoing midfielder's decorated eight-season stint is due to be celebrated in Wednesday's clash with Brighton and Hove Albion after City confirmed his contract would not be renewed. If they win their remaining game at Southampton they will surpass the Blues' 2004-05 record of 15 wins on the road.

Guardiola praised the 22-year-old for his display, days after City celebrated their Premier League title. City are now on 97, meaning the first-ever 100-point haul remains possible with three points at St Mary's.

Guardiola suggested City can get "a lot" better, and said of PFA Young Player of the Year Sane: "What I like the most with Leroy, seeing his outstanding performance today, was I had the feeling he can do better, and that is the best".

So, with this game in mind, what did we learn?

Yaya's brother Kolo, the former City defender, presented Yaya with a lifetime season card - in a seat next to another City legend, Pablo Zabaleta - and a framed shirt with the No 316 to mark his total number of appearances for the club.

Giuliani not ruling out chance of Trump taking the Fifth
Neither the payment nor the liability to Cohen was disclosed on the Trump campaign or the president's financial disclosures. When Trump was asked last month aboard Air Force One if he knew about the payment to Stormy Daniels , he said no.

He also received a huge cheer when he picked out his winning goal against arch-rivals Manchester United in the 2011 FA Cup semi-final as his favourite moment at the club. "To be alongside United, Liverpool, we have to win more. A team will arrive and do better but they'll have to do really well". "I just want to say thank you to Yaya".

"He's not leaving because he'll always be part of it", Guardiola said. City captain Vincent Kompany made a point of getting Toure to hold one handle of the trophy as it was lifted to the backdrop of fireworks, flames and tickertape. "Thank you for being a wonderful teammate both in the dressing room and on the pitch".

An Etihad source said: "Leroy loves it here and wants to stay but it looks like it's all going to have to wait for now".
