Cavaliers' Rodney Hood reportedly refused to enter Game 4 for garbage time

The Cavaliers will meet the victor of the Boston Celtics-Philadelphia 76ers series in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Rodney Hood, whom the Cavs acquired from the Utah Jazz during their trade-deadline frenzy, has seen his playing time dwindle in the postseason, and he didn't play at all in Game 4. "Hood dressed quickly and was one of the first players out of the locker room after the game".

Instead, it's the antics of swingman Rodney Hood, who will reportedly apologize to his teammates after refusing to enter the game during the the final minutes of the Cavs' Game 4 victory Monday night.

Hood is a very good player but he's had a awful playoffs so far, averaging only 4.6 points on 39.6 percent shooting.

Hood was the only player not to play in Game 4, though the Cavs do not view what he did as an act of defiance, a source said. He has only reached double figures in scoring once, in Game 6 against the Indiana Pacers, and averaged just 11.5 minutes in the previous four games before Monday.

Elon Musk goes on Twitter to defend his weird earnings call behavior
Musk turned to Twitter this Friday to defend his behavior that had caused a 5% dip in the share value of Tesla . Both analysts were not immediately available for a comment on Musk's tweets.

According to Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, head coach Tyronn Lue called on Hood to check in for LeBron James with just under 8 minutes to play and Cleveland up by 30. However, the 25-year old guard refused to enter the game, which angered some of his teammates. "It was a great opportunity for a struggling youngster to try to find his rhythm without any pressure before the next series".

In the long-term, Hood will become a restricted free agent this summer.

But one of the Cavaliers' potential role players was conspicuously absent from the game. Cavaliers general manager Koby Altman will reportedly meet with Hood in an attempt to get Hood's perspective on the matter. Instead, Hood refused to go in, multiple sources confirmed.

In the short-term, Hood faces a fine or suspension for conduct detrimental to the team, Lloyd posited, but at the very least you would expect him to remain out of the rotation for the foreseeable future.

The Cavaliers acquired Hood at the February 8 trade deadline from Utah.
