We're 'Shocked' By Adamawa Mosque Bombing - Presidency

The state Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Ahmad Sajoh, made this known in a statement made available to NAN in Yola.

A medical source said nearly 34 corpses were carried in body bags deposited at the Mubi General Hospital where victims were taken to. In addition, a rescue worker that was involved in the rescue operation said that 68 people were wounded and 42 people were killed.

However, the police in Adamawa had earlier said 27 people were killed from the attack.

Residents said they saw a young man wearing a suicide vest entering the mosque with the worshippers.

"I think this is the worst attack Mubi has ever witnessed". There are still unclaimed bodies at the hospital.

It has, therefore, directed security agencies to take immediate steps to beef up security in Mubi and its environs, especially markets and places of worship.

Greater China sales rose 21 percent from a year earlier, Apple's best growth rate there in 10 quarters, to $13.0 billion. It had been hyped beyond belief and was the device which was supposed to put Apple ahead technology wise.

Mubi has suffered regular attacks by Boko Haram.

Suspicion immediately fell on Boko Haram, the jihadist group whose quest to establish a hardline Islamic state in northeast Nigeria has left at least 20,000 dead since 2009.

The jihadist group on Thursday carried out an attack in Maiduguri, capital of neighbouring Borno state, that killed four people.

He promised to defeat Boko Haram but is now facing a series of security challenges elsewhere, not least an escalation of violence in a long-running dispute between farmers and herders.

Trump had pledged the USA support for Nigeria's war against Boko Haram.

The local government was captured by Boko Haram in September 2014 till February 2015 when the military liberated the town ahead of the general elections that was shifted due to the activities of the insurgents in the north-east region.
