Why Avengers: Infinity War Partly Owes Its Success To Black Panther

In Infinity War, the heroes all set out on their individual missions in an effort to take down Thanos and the Black Order.

So, what did I think about "Avengers: Infinity War"? According to the filmmaker, it'll hit cinemas two years from this week. The ones to do before were The Avengers (2012) with $207.4 million and Black Panther (2018) with $202 million. But she is part of the movie's post-credits scene.

That is one heck of a debut for the MCU's first-ever female lead.

Marquand appeared in the movie as none other than the surprisingly still alive Red Skull.

I won't go into the whole Infinity Stone thing, other than they've played a part in many past Marvel films, and they all come together and truly show their meaning and goal in this movie as Thanos adds them, one by one, to his Infinity Gauntlet. Congratulations on the biggest opening weekend in history!

It turns out Captain Marvel was in Avengers: Infinity War - just not in the way some fans thought she was. The following contains major spoilers from Avengers: Infinity War, so proceed with caution.

In the original comics Captain Marvel was blessed with super strength, flight, energy blasts and a partial-Kree physiology - the Kree being an advanced alien race within the Marvel Comics universe.

Which Marvel movie was the hardest to make for each of them? That link is harder to test, because Marvel hasn't been releasing movies in immediate succession with the same characters very often. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time.

From a strategic standpoint, Disney-Marvel can't really do much to game-plan any of this, since the effect occurs in both a positive and negative direction. Marquand said he didn't tell anyone he was in the movie until the day it came out. Writers were able to create some nuance and reasoning behind his actions in "Infinity War", giving him layers that the other film had previously ignored. But as last weekend's box office suggests, a surprising truth now exists about the studio's movies: There's no such thing as too soon.
