Rozier, Tatum help Celtics beat 76ers 117-101 in Game 1

For the Celtics, Tatum added 28 points and centre Al Horford had 26 while playing rugged defence on Philadelphia star Joel Embiid. He finished with a game-high 31 points and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Rozier dropped 29 points and was on fire from beyond the arc as he drained seven threes to follow up his 26 points in game seven against the Bucks on Saturday.

The Sixers will look to even the series when they visit the Celtics in Game 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET Thursday.

He won't mimic the torrid shooting pace he had Monday night, but anything close to his performance in Game 1 will help the Boston Celtics have more than a chance at winning this series. Technically, Simmons is a rookie after missing all of last season with an injury, and he should absolutely win Rookie of the Year - it wouldn't be fair to hold a dumb National Basketball Association rule against him after a spectacular first season on the floor.

According to A. Sherrod Blakely of NBC Sports, Brown said: "I'll be back".

The parliament will gather for a special session on Tuesday to vote on the only officially nominated candidate, Nikol Pashinyan . Since 13 April, tens of thousands have come out to the streets daily in what Pashinyan has called a "velvet revolution".

"[The crowd] was okay", Embiid said. "I just think he's taken advantage of the opportunity", Horford said. But after the game, he was careful to acknowledge the role Brad Stevens played in creating that problem for him. Redick is an above average defender, but he's more suited to guard players his own size, which is why Brown will likely adjust by moving him onto Smart. But they were great, they supported their team tonight.

With Brown joining Irving and Hayward on the injured list for Game 1, the Celtics figured to have a miserable time trying to scratch out points against an elite Sixers defense.

Guys like Dario Saric, Robert Covington and Markelle Fultz (who did not play because of coach's decision) will ultimately need to become more consistent for this team to reach their full potential. While the Celtics got by without him in Game One, if he can play, the Celtics will have a much better shot at going up 2-0 when the series moves to Philadelphia.

"Give [the Celtics] credit". People still do not know exactly what we can expect from these young players, and we are starting to see how good these players can be these playoffs.

Simmons actually looked like a rookie in Game 1. "Because I grew up in New England and I'm not young". And while the Celtics are beat up at the moment, a home playoff game in Boston is another beast entirely.
