India's World Cup opener against South Africa on June 5, 2019

Such was the desire of the 34-year-old De Villiers to win the coveted trophy, he took a sabbatical from Test cricket for most of 2017 to be fit and ready for the World Cup next year.

The next World Cup will be played on the format used in 1992, all 10 teams play each other in the league stage with four of them progressing to the knockouts.

The first match of the tournament will take place on May 30 at The Oval in London between hosts England and South Africa.

Chief Executives Meeting here, it was proposed that the big-ticket clash will be in Manchester while India will open their campaign against South Africa on June 5.

OnePlus 6 to arrive with new materials, with same craftsmanship
As per the official teasers, OnePlus 6 is coming with several upgrades both in terms of design and also internal hardware. The OnePlus 6 notch will house a selfie camera alongside the ambient light sensor, earpiece, and a notification LED.

The 12th edition of the IPL will be held from March 29 to May 19 next year but BCCI are aware that there remains a possibility of elections happening around that time of the year. With the 2019 edition of the World Cup approaching, one would think that winning the tournament will be on his mind. The final will be played at the Lord's on July 14.

The format for the group stage is to have all ten teams play each other in a single group. "Earlier, we were scheduled to start on June 2 but we couldn't have played on that day". It is yet to be ratified by the ICC Board, which meets today. Given that the ICC Test Championships will only consist of day matches played with the red ball, the BCCI saw no objective in playing a day/night Test with a pink ball.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) suffered a revenue shortfall after the Indian government refused to exempt the 2016 World Twenty20 competition held in the country and there has not been any change in that stance, despite BCCI's dogged persuasion since then. According to the first draft of the schedule, India were supposed to play in the first few days of the tournament, but the ICC accepted the BCCI's request and pushed back the date of their first match.

It is believed that the CEC chose to go back to the old format to ensure recovery time for the teams.
