Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Suffered "a Really Bad Injury" Says Jurgen Klopp

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Suffered

Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered the injury in the early stages of the Champions League semi-final first leg, with Georginio Wijnaldum introduced as his replacement.

The 24-year-old, who joined Liverpool from Arsenal in August, was carried off on a stretcher in the 18th minute after making a sliding tackle on Roma full-back Aleksandar Kolarov.

Klopp confirmed at the end of the match that the injury looks "bad", but will require a scan.

The injury news also comes as a blow to England's World Cup hopes with the midfielder widely expected to have played a big role for the Three Lions in Russian Federation on the back of his massively improved form since joining the Merseysiders from Arsenal.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said after that game. It's just we lost a fantastic player tonight and that is not good news, so I am not really in the mood to talk about specific, fantastic things. "All of the medical department is quite concerned, without a scan".

Milind's co-star from 16 December , Dipannita Sharma also shared pictures and videos from the wedding. Ankita looked radiant in a yellow lehenga while Milind rocked a dhoti kurta .

And it looks like Oxlade-Chamberlain's spot in Gareth Southgate's England squad could be in jeopardy if the prognosis comes back as negative. The season is not that long anymore.

Klopp said Oxlade-Chamberlain's injury took some gloss off Liverpool's brilliant performance in the first leg of the semifinals, in which they conceded two late goals to give Roma a lifeline.

"We have still a few very important games to go and the squad doesn't get any bigger at the moment. It can not be a little bit less, because we really need the crowd".

Trent Alexander-Arnold added: "Obviously we're all gutted for him".
