Google will also reportedly launch brick and mortar stores in 2018 - a flawless place to show a new mid-range phone to new customers.

Just today, we heard that Google is planning to bring its smart speakers, the Home and the Home Mini, to India this month.

Google, in its study on Pixel phones' sales in India, found that there was very little difference in margin in terms of units sold between online and offline channels. The paper claims that "Google's top brass shared details of its consumer products expansion plans in trade meetings held in Malaysia, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. last month". The Google smart speakers will go against the likes of Amazon Echo Smart Speaker, which was launched in the country a year ago in October.

The search giant's premium smartphones Google Pixel XL and Pixel 2 XL have done reasonably well in the Indian markets, largely on the back of its camera features.

Snow set to return as yellow weather warning issued
The warning has been put in place for parts of Wales, southern Scotland, as well as much of northern England and the Midlands. Simulations from the American modeling system suggest the chance of rain and/or wet snow in the region, Saturday, April 7.

Now it is not clear what would be the price of the Home or the Home Mini in India. The concept of "Smart Home" is also expected to be the rage in coming years.

Google introduced its Google Home smart speaker back in October 2016 and the Home Mini was introduced in October previous year. The speaker will get your voice when you say Ok, Google or Hey, Google wake words and take summons from you. The Amazon Echo is priced around Rs. 9,999 and the Echo Dot is priced around Rs. 4,500. One of Google's executives supposedly revealed details about the company's plans at meetings in multiple countries in March.

Google also has a Home speaker tuned for powerful and better sound quality called Home Max but it seems that this speaker will not be launching in India for now. In the USA, the Google Home Mini ships for $49 (around Rs. 3,200) and the Google Home ships for $129 (around Rs. 8,500). For example, it improves Wi-Fi stability on Pixel 2 devices after several users reported intermittent WiFi issues. Currently Amazon's entire series of Echo devices is available in India.
