Zlatan Ibrahimovic goes all in with Bethard

Zlatan Ibrahimovic goes all in with Bethard

The Swedish worldwide, who recently left the Old Trafford club for Los Angeles Galaxy in the U.S., had come to say goodbye to his United mates.

Ibrahimovic left Manchester United to play for LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer (MLS) this season.

"Or is LA getting a washed-up 36-year-old forward who isn't even a year removed from a devastating knee injury, and can no longer rely on his once-prodigious physical gifts?"

Ibrahimovic departed Manchester United last week with immediate effect after his contract with the club was terminated by mutual consent. My head was here.

And at his introductory press conference, Ibrahimovic was at his charismatic best as he insisted it was his destiny to play for Galaxy in the MLS. "I gave them Zlatan", he said after the game.

Along with Ibrahimovic in the presentation was Galaxy coach Sigi Schmid, who praised the career path of the new player and thanked him for having chosen his team despite having other important offers.

Participants can also enter a drawing for a giant stuffed bunny that will be given away by Lake Oswego Mayor Kent Studebaker. And as much fun as youngsters have chasing down candy-filled eggs, residents, too, look forward to the event every year.

Ibrahimovic admitted he was set to join the Galaxy before signing with Manchester United, where he scored 17 goals in 28 games as the Red Devils won the Europa League and League Cup that season. It is a big game, I'm already involved and I'm excited. Declaring that he has come to America to win trophies, Ibrahimovic said, "The lion is hungry". "I didn't feel 100 percent", he said.

But Ibrahimovic still believes he has plenty to offer in a Galaxy shirt. I came in a wheelchair.

"I was born old, now I will die young". Don't worry about my age. After three months I conquered England and they said I was flying, so this is only numbers.

Then came the news this week that the Galaxy's prize new addition, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, will likely make his MLS debut in the contest which Fox will televise nationally at 3 p.m. ET.

"For him (the move to U.S.) will just be a way to enjoy the last couple of years of football". He came to Galaxy to build and set the bar and this is something that has kept going with [Robbie] Keane and [Steven] Gerrard and now I am here.

"And I know how to win". Another former Premier League player - Ashley Cole - scooped the ball across the six-yard area and Ibrahimovic headed home the victor. "Now it's like I just want to go out, smell the grass, touch the ball".
