Nokia 1 Android Oreo (Go Edition) launched in India for Rs. 5499

This is an entry level smartphone which runs the latest version of Android. As for color options, you will be able to choose between Warm Red and Dark Blue colors.

The Nokia 1 price in India is available for purchasers at Rs. 5,499 only. Under the hood, there is a 2150mAh removable battery, and Android Go (Oreo) runs out of the box.

As for specifications, the Nokia 1 packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) IPS display. The phone comes with modest specifications and is aimed towards developing markets, and in India, this is the second Android Go phone to be launched, after the Lava Z50. That includes a 1.1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor that works in conjugation with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of native storage. In case you don't know, it was very first encountered at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona last month. The device has now been launched in India for a price of ₹5499 ($85) and will be available starting tomorrow.

It further includes a 5-megapixel camera at the back with a fixed focus lens and an LED flash.

For now, the Xpress On covers have been priced at Rs. 450 and available in Azure and Grey or Yellow and Pink. It also has microSD card support which can be extended up to 128 GB. Reliance Jio subscribers who purchase the Nokia 1 will also be eligible to receive up to 60GB of additional 4G data. Other features of the Nokia 1 include dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Global Positioning System.

It bears an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and a proximity sensor. Also, the user will have to open a Kotak 811 savings account and activate it with an initial deposit of Rs 1,000 in the introductory period in order to claim this insurance.
