MLB Hopes To Have Red Sox-Yankees Play In London In 2019

The fact that the Yankees and Red Sox are apparently interested in sacrificing lucrative home games against their respective biggest rival seems to demonstrate just how much value the teams see in building their brand in London. Yankees Manager Aaron Boone, who has never been to London, said on Monday. "So, if that's true, maybe I'm going to London".

When American sports leagues schedule games in London, they often send some of - how should we put this? - their less grabby teams.

The games are expected to be played at London Stadium, which opened for the 2012 Summer Olympics and has since been converted to the home of the Premier League's West Ham United. June is the only time the building is available for baseball.

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah is now putting pressure on Barcelona star Lionel Messi in the hunt for the Golden Boot. Without Salah leading the way, Firmino would right now stand third amongst Premier League scorers.

Henry, in an email to The Associated Press, wrote: "This is something the two clubs have discussed for years with Major League Baseball and hopefully it will become a reality".

Assuming plans are finalized, the series will be played at Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 2012 Olympics and is now used for soccer and track and field events.

The most recent collective bargaining agreement between owners and players, which was ratified in 2016, includes a commitment to multiple worldwide destinations. "So, we haven't. I don't think we've totally closed the door on that, but I would say it's very unlikely". Once it is set up it would provide fans with a two-game series during the regular season in 2019. In seven games, Gomez had gone 1-1 with a 10.80 ERA. Turner grunted and winced as he jogged away from the plate toward the dugout, his hand hanging limp at his side. There had been an outside chance that the outfielder, out since suffering the oblique strain March 2, might be ready for the season opener March 29 in Toronto, but that possibility has all but been eliminated. Stanton also could get time in left when Gardner is rested, especially against left-handed pitchers.
