Entire cast of Stranger Things gets a huge pay raise

Sources say "Stranger Things" Season 3 will see the show's stars earning up to 10 times more per episode than they did in Season 1 of the wildly successful Netflix series. According to the latest report, each main actor, kids, and adults have got a massive hike in their pay cheque and will be making six figures per episode for the upcoming installment. That includes "Stranger Things" star Millie Bobby Brown who plays Eleven on the show.

Some sources have told THR.com that the 14-year-old is set to earn as much as Ryder and Harbour, while others suggest she's going to be paid $300,000 per episode. Deadline, meanwhile, only stated that she will earn more than the core cast of kids. Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp and Caleb McLaughlin, Winona Ryder and David Harbour have all reached or are finalizing agreements.

Stranger Things is scheduled to start production on eight episodes for Season 3 starting next month. Brown, who emerged as the breakout star of Stranger Things, is believed to have landed a bigger raise than her young costars.

Just as the drama has helped to solidify Netflix's reputation as a premiere destination for creators, the show has also launched many of its previously unknown castmembers into full-fledged stardom.

In addition to the cast's hefty new paychecks, Deadline reported that Netflix has also signed several new licensing deals for "Stranger Things"-themed merchandise". Creators the Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the series likely won't go past a fourth season.

As Netflix's flagship series, especially in the wake of Kevin Spacey's ouster from House of Cards, and in comparison to TV's other big stars, you could make the case that the Stranger Things cast is actually underpaid.
