Jets acquire 3rd overall pick in 2018 NFL Draft

We've acquired the No. 3 overall pick from the @Colts for our No. 6 overall pick, 37th overall pick, 49th overall pick and our 2019 2nd round pick.

Both John Elway and Vance Joseph have continued to say to the media that they want to get an impact player with that pick, and they have not been shy about taking their top decision makers to the pro days of Baker Mayfield and Josh Rosen this past week.

The Jets this offseason have already signed quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and re-signed last year's starter, Josh McCown.

Now, the New York Jets have entered themselves into the discussion. NY is now positioned to select one of the draft's top quarterbacks while the Bills have to figure out their next move. The Jets leapfrogging a QB-needy team in the Denver Broncos, and prevent a team like the Buffalo Bills from trading with the colts. Now, the ball is in New York's court. It also adds some intrigue with the Giants and Jets picking back-to-back at No. 2 and No. 3. But, the Jets' front office must have seen a prospect who really intrigues the coaching staff along with the front office enough to give up a multitude of picks.

Federer equals his best start to year ever
The bespectacled Chung, appearing in his fifth quarterfinal in six tournaments this year, dropped to 15-6 on the season. Awaiting him in the last four is Coric, the Croatian upsetting seventh seed Kevin Anderson 2-6 6-4 7-6 (7-3).

In reality, this might have made more sense than moving up to the third pick. Getting extra picks from the Jets will surely help, giving Indianapolis four selections in the top 50 in this year's draft.

Saturday's move also proved another thing: The Colts are in a clear rebuilding mode after former general manager Ryan Grigson whiffed on previous drafts. Indianapolis still might be able to land the promising pass rusher at No. 6, especially if three or more quarterbacks are taken in the first five spots.

For all of us Jets fans, we really hope you get this right because you were just swindled out of drafting in the entire second round. "It would have to be a pretty attractive offer for us to move away from six because of the player we think we're going to get".

On April 26 we will find out who they take.
