Loyola Ramblers beat Miami Hurricanes with game-winning buzzer beater

The Ramblers had four players score in double digits in the South Region victory, led by Clayton Custer's 14 points, followed by Ingram with 13 points.

The 11th-seeded Loyola-Chicago Ramblers upset the sixth-seeded Miami Hurricanes 64-62 on Thursday in the NCAA Tournament. They advanced to face third-seeded Tennessee on Saturday. Miami responded with a corner mid-range jumper by JaQuan Newton to retake the lead with 44 seconds left.

While the nature of Loyola's win was shocking, the upset itself has become common in March Madness.

Thomas helps Lakers to win over LeBron, Cavs
Perhaps more than any individual performance by the Lakers, James may have been impressed with their fluidity and style of play. LeBron James added a few more unbelievable passes to his highlight reel on Sunday night against the Los Angeles Lakers .

After the second free throw was missed however, Walker dribbled the ball out of bounds to give Loyola possession.

The referees would review the play and determine that it wasn't technically a buzzer beater - the Hurricanes were left with 0.3 seconds on the clock. Donte Ingram got the ball at the edge of the center-court logo and put up a heave, sending the crowd into hysterics. Loyola (Chicago) will be brimming with confidence and will be a tougher matchup for the Vols. Coming into the tournament, they had won ten straight games en route to taking the Missouri Valley title. The Hurricanes were playing without star guard Bruce Brown (foot).

The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers will keep on dancing.
