Brave Tottenham must play free against Juve - Pochettino

Brave Tottenham must play free against Juve - Pochettino

"Dybala is fully fit, as seen against Lazio, but tomorrow is such an important game that they all want to be a part of it, even if not at 100 percent".

Tottenham's progression since former Espanyol coach Pochettino arrived in 2014 has been impressive.

Tottenham fans may remember that back in the 2011/12 season they finished in fourth place, but did not qualify for the Champions League courtesy of Chelsea winning the competition and stealing their spot despite finishing in sixth.

"It's been step by step, a little step every season", said the Spurs boss.

Asked what he could ultimately achieve at the north London club, Pochettino refused to be drawn. I don't do that. I am a dreamer. "Higuain has trained individually and has been back in the squad for the past few days and he's available and can play, as can Dybala".

Tottenham are on a 17-match unbeaten run in all competitions, sit fourth in the Premier League, have an FA Cup quarter-final ahead and are within touching distance of the business end of the Champions League.

"We improved a lot from two seasons ago".

Son has featured on six occasions for Spurs in the Champions League so far this season, netting three goals in the process.

"If something happens which is not quite flawless or is only half a mistake, then in my next game, I am always determined to provide the answer I feel is due", he said at a news conference at Wembley.

"If you start to think too much and play for a draw, especially against an experienced team like Juve, you could be in trouble. But we're going to have to play better tomorrow and know that when we have to defend, we have to defend like we always have - not like in the first leg".

"We are playing against one of the best teams in Europe, but we are a fearless team, positive people, that love the challenge and we all think we can win".

"It's going to be uphill against a very strong Spurs side but then you can get caught out if it's downhill, so we will be up for the challenge", he said.
