Apple's iPhone X-Infested Lineup for 2018 Detailed in New Report

Apple's iPhone X-Infested Lineup for 2018 Detailed in New Report

The latest smartphone is codenamed as D33 and according to a person familiar with the development says that at least some prototypes will include a screen resolution of 1242 x 2688 pixels. According to the report, the lineup will include three different models all designed after last year's iPhone X in which there will be no bezels, big screens, and notches.

Gene Munster, co-founder of Loup Ventures and Apple's close watcher said, "This is a big deal. We saw that with iPhone 6, and we think this is setting up to be a similar step up in growth", he said. The phone will include a 6.1-inch display which will use LCD instead of OLED. Long story short, we should probably expect Apple's new iPhone X design to reappear several times in the coming years. The display will reportedly be the same OLED technology used on the current iPhone X. Also, all the three iPhones will feature a TrueDepth camera for Face ID.

These devices were the iPhone 8, the iPhone 8 Plus and the hugely anticipated iPhone X.

It's always been rumored that Apple is going to launch three new iPhones this fall, all with a design very similar to that of the iPhone X from past year.

This is a bigger screen size than any iPhone so far, with the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus both sporting a 5.8inch screen. This means that the phone will feature an enormous amount of screen space, but remain the same size in the hand as an iPhone 8 Plus. This makes sense, since the iPhone X hasn't done as well as the company hoped it would, likely due to its $999 price and smaller size compared to the Plus models. The new, affordable devices will feature the edge-to-edge screen seen on the iPhone X in order to give the device a more modern feel. While the company is strategically focussing to release an update to current iPhone X model, reports echoes that both the iPhone models will house the company's next-generation in-house A12 processors. The iPhone X, on the other hand, is a radical redesign with edge-to-edge display and improved facial recognition technology.

Apple is also, apparently, considering a gold colour option for the updated iPhone X and the larger model. Apple also plans a gold-colored device to help boost sales in Asia, Bloomberg reported.
