Snow in the forecast for MA this weekend

Snow in the forecast for MA this weekend

Gusty conditions will lead to significant blowing and drifting snow once again, which will also once again cause concern on the roads.

The second winter storm front of the week is poised to move through northern Arizona tonight and Thursday, bringing rain and up to several inches of snow above 7,000 feet, according to the National Weather Service.

Due to the timing, we're calling this a "Low Impact", but if the storm trends stronger, amounts may warrant an upgrade to "Moderate Impact".

Friday night, look for a low of 27 with mostly cloudy skies and a southeast wind of 5 to 7 miles per hour.

A quick shot of accumulating snow is looking more and more likely to affect the Susquehanna Valley late Saturday evening into very early Sunday morning.

It'll shift to sleet in the afternoon and overnight before clearing the area early Sunday.

"A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties".

FRIDAY: Chance for a morning shower. Then clearing, milder. High: mid-upper 40s.

Saturday night, the low will be around 29 with mostly clear skies, according to the weather service.

Accuweather forecasters put the chance for more than 3 inches just above 30 percent (and the chance for less than 1 inch at about 20 percent). The high during the day on Thursday and Friday is forecast for the low 50s.
