For those of you with children, update 5.50 will introduce Play Time Management, which will "allow family managers (and adult family members who are set as guardians) to manage PS4 playtime for child family members on PSN". All the while, notifications will be sent to the child accounts during play so they know when to save and quit. Apart from setting this to check on their kid's playtime, the family manager/guardians can apply playtime restrictions to make sure that the child is only playing for a set amount of time or within set playable hours.

Sony continues to roll out some pretty substantial updates for the PS4, including the next big one - update 5.50.

Read on for the full list of changes, which are now being experienced by closed trial testers, and will soon be made available to all PS4 owners. You can zoom and crop the image before saving it as your background, so no need to fiddle with dimensions or resolution beforehand.

Just hop into the system settings menu to activate it and you should be good to go.

Meanwhile, the update lets you import your own images via USB stick to use as custom wallpapers. This section also shows games that have been purchased, but not downloaded. The PS4 section lists all of the apps and games now installed on the console, while the tab with your avatar and name shows what has been purchased with your PSN account. It will also display who is now online. If this happens, the games will be shown with a lock icon on top of the PS Plus logo, making it more obvious that re-subscribing will restore access to those games. For instance, many are still crying out for the ability to change their usernames, and others are just waiting for the company to allow PSN parties to hold more than 8 players at a time.

The attack ended with the terrorists escaping into the narrow lanes and bylanes of downtown Srinagar , a police official said. The incident spread panic in Kashmir Valley's premiere government hospital in Kaka Sarai area.

Previously, we had gotten word of a PS4 Pro supersampling feature that will allow users without a 4K TV to see their games rendered at a higher resolution that is then downscaled to the resolution of their TV's display.

As with all major PS4 firmwares, this one brings a host of new features, some of which have been requested by fans for a while.

If you are getting swarmed with bought as well as earned games from PS Plus, the PS4 Update 5.50 has you covered.

Additionally, users can access certain shortcuts from the Quick Menu when listening to music on their PS4 and even press the square button as a shortcut for volume control when using Spotify on PlayStation Music.

"Please note performance will vary, as games are optimised differently to take advantage of the power of the PS4 Pro". The latter feature should come in handy if you have a bunch of content you don't plan to revisit. Sony did not specify when the full release of firmware 5.50 would roll out to all users.
