Apple's San Francisco commuter buses are reportedly being attacked

But, according to The Guardian, the buses can be easily identified by the colors they are painted: blue for Facebook, silver for Apple and white for Google.

Speculation suggests pellet guns or rubber bullets are being used in the attacks, but local police have yet to confirm this.

Montiel said another Apple bus had a window smashed last week along the same stretch of highway, between State Routes 84 and 85.

The Guardian reported on Wednesday afternoon that at least five commuter buses have been targeted in the suspected pellet gun attacks.

Apple facilitates its employees through several shuttle buses to transport them from San Francisco down to Cupertino every day and recent attacks show anger against them.

Bet9ja Preview: Chelsea - Norwich City: Expect a few goals in West London
It was a third straight goalless draw involving Chelsea in all competitions - and a fourth in the team's last seven matches. I think you must have a big squad to face every game.

Some of the incidents occurred in the morning, while others occurred in the evening. But California Highway Patrol Officer Art Montiel, who is investigating the matter with other law enforcement officials, says "it appears that they're going after the unmarked tech buses", according to SFGate. The buses are available to employees only, and they've always been a symbol of division between the tech world and everyone else. Following the incidents, both the tech firms have rerouted employee buses keeping in mind the safety of their employees.

The attacks could be linked to previous ill-feeling about how the tech sector is causing a gentrification of San Francisco and the surrounding area. Of those, four involved Apple shuttle buses, while one was carrying Google employees. No one was injured in the incidents.

It's unclear if the attack, which broke a window on the bus, was carried out by the same perpetrator. The buses were attacked on highway 280, so the company has chose to divert them from that road, even though doing so would extend the commute time by 30-45 minutes in either direction.

At least four of the vandalized shuttle buses were chartered by Apple, whose corporate headquarters are located off I-280 in Cupertino city in California's Silicon Valley.

We have reached out to Apple and Google and will update this article if we hear back.
