Amazon is bringing Alexa to smartwatches and headphones

On Friday, Amazon announced that gadget manufacturers will be able to include the company's voice assistant Alexa in portable devices like headphones, smartwatches and fitness wearables.

When it comes to AI voice assistants, it seems as though Alexa integration is everywhere.

Now, Amazon is looking to further expand its reach by supporting low-power mobile devices with the Alexa Mobile Accessory Kit. "Cooking capabilities will also be available in other countries soon", Amazon has stated. This should give them unfettered access to all of the services provided by AVS including Alexa skills, requisite weather updates and, of course, smart home integration. For example, a user can say "Alexa, defrost three pounds of chicken" or "Alexa, microwave for 50 seconds on high". Appliances that have pre-sets are needed - like microwave ovens, conventional ovens, and presumably other cooking devices like slow cookers and perhaps bread makers. The company will reveal which smart TVs get Alexa support at CES 2018. Voice is the new app in controlling devices, particularly in our smart homes. Whilst Amazon has a variety of vendor partners, it's not certain how rapidly support will roll out.

Mega Millions and Powerball Jackpots Continue to Grow
I never won one of those $15 million Mega Millions jackpots , but I always figured I had a chance. The Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs tonight is the 16th largest prize of all time.

The Hisense TVs already have quite a few features using the company's TV platform, which allows users to access popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube, TikiLIVE and much more.

LG, Samsung, Kenmore and GE Appliances are also reportedly planning to add Alexa support to their appliance ranges. The company now is making its next bold move. "We are excited about the innovations June is bringing to the smart kitchen, including their existing Alexa skill, and look forward to what they will create when we introduce support for ovens in the Smart Home Skill API", the company has commented. Amazon wants more, though. Do let us know in the comments.
