Suspects arrested in Troy Quadruple homicide plead not guilty to murder charges

At a press conference held today, police say that they knew the victims but would not say how or discuss the motive because of the ongoing investigation.

Brandi Mells, 22; ans Stana Myers, 36, were found dead on Tues., Dec. 26, 2017 in their basement apartment in Troy, New York.

Tedesco said it was a great relief to have the two men in custody.

Details of the arrests were not available early Saturday.

"I'm scared to go to the corner store", he told the Albany Times-Union. Police said autopsies would be conducted Wednesday, but results have not been released.

Their family got anxious when they didn't answer the phone, so they asked the property manager to check on them.

Troy Police credited the arrests to the work of Troy Police Detectives, the NYSP Major Crimes Unite, NYS DOCCS, the Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office and several other law enforcement agencies. The Boys & Girls Club also set up a GoFundMe campaign to help Isaiah with living expenses and to pay for counseling. Her 5-year-old daughter loved cooking, too, so the family agreed to let her cook spaghetti as part of their Christmas meal. Police described the crime scene as the most savage they've ever seen.
