Toyota employees step up for Salvation Army

If you'd like to donate money or items you can go to the Salvation Army Headquarters on South Washington in Bismarck.

It didn't take long for the community to step up to the challenge of replacing all of those gifts.

The gifts donated by local businesses and individuals will be distributed from 8 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at 1200 W. Kimberly Ave., connected to Fox Valley Christian Fellowship Church. "It's really been a neat thing".

"So at the last minute, I gave them to him and he put them in his pocket", said the wife. Donations are down 10% from a year ago so far.

Christmas wishes being filled on Monday as hundreds picked up bags full of toys and boxes full of food. Suggs said there are around 2,000 employees (including on-site supplier workers) at the Blue Springs plant.

The Salvation Army said it will have the two bars appraised by a professional to determine their values.

The stores have been collecting donations all month long in red kettles, and now the donations will be used to help bring joy to children in need. "Our external affairs department found a way to come up with the money to pick up this worthy cause".

Salvation Army bell ringers have become as much a part of the Christmas season as Santa.
