Griezmann will leave Atletico: Simeone

The picture was captioned "80s Party" and showed the French worldwide and Atletico Madrid attacker in a black "Afro" wig and wearing the jersey/shorts combination reminiscent of the Harlem Globetrotters basketball team. He's wearing an National Basketball Association 1969 All-Stars uniform.

It took more than an hour before the post was deleted.

American sports blog Deadspin labelled Griezmann's post "egregiously racist".

The image of him in that costume and makeup in the bathroom of an 80s party tweeting that final tweet out. I mean, this isn't even just blackface.

Griezmann has been repeatedly linked with a move away from Wanda Metropolitano in recent seasons, with Premier League side Manchester United desperate to sign the striker in the summer.

Conor ain't down with the WWE - and had a short 4-letter word for Vince McMahon's company. McGregor told TMZ after a night on the town in NY that next up, he wants a "real fight".

Has Griezmann now scuppered his chances of a big-money move?

However, the France global instead chose to commit his future to Atletico by signing a new long-term deal after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) upheld their Federation Internationale de Football Association transfer embargo.

Barcelona are also said to be interested in Griezmann, following the £200million transfer of Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Atletico coach Diego Simeone accepted this week that Griezmann's departure is inevitable.
