Twitter makes it easier to rant by making tweetstorms an official feature

"That's why we're thrilled to share that we're making it simpler to thread Tweets together, and to find threads, so it's easier to express yourself on Twitter and stay informed". Nonetheless, the tweetstorm has become a staple of the platform, allowing people to make the sort of nuanced arguments that Twitter's famous character limit would otherwise seem to preclude. Some of Twitter's most valuable users are the ones who post long threads discussing political policy or social issues, and they now have a more straightforward way of sharing their ideas. The move builds on the company's recent decision to abandon its traditional 140-character count for 280 characters to allow people more room per tweet - even as the social network struggles to clarify its policies on what is appropriate conduct on Twitter. Twitter is now doing away with that awkward step by adding a special button.

Twitter says threads will begin rolling out today to everyone on iOS, Android and the web, to reach the full user base over a few weeks' time.

For instance, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey in October used an eight-tweet thread to describe how the company will more aggressively enforce its rules about unwanted sexual advances, hate symbols, violent groups and tweets that glorify violence. While people wait for the tool to launch on their devices, Twitter has revealed how the feature will work.

Users can continue to add tweets to the thread by tapping the plus icon until they're done. Just click on the Add Another Tweet button.

Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield wins 2017 Heisman Trophy
Mayfield helped the Sooners get a signature win over Oklahoma State in which he threw for almost 600 yards and five touchdowns. He is also the first senior to win the Heisman since Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith in 2006.

Users can then write in their first tweet.

Now that's no longer necessary, as they can just tweet the whole thing at once.

You can also add more Tweets to your published thread at any time with the new "Add another Tweet" button.

Users will also be able to update their threads later on by clicking on a tweet and pressing "add another tweet". "That's where this update to threads comes in!"
