Lopez on Monday filed a complaint against Dababneh with the Assembly Rules Committee, telling reporters she waited nearly two years to act out of fear of retaliation and mistrust of the legislature's system for handling sexual harassment claims.

Jonathan Bash, a former president of the college Democrats at the University of California, Los Angeles, said his organization advised its women members not to intern in Sherman's office while Debabneh worked there because he was known for making sexual comments and offering alcohol to underage women. "I was terrified of being shunned or retaliated against if the Capitol community knew what happened to me", Lopez said.

"I was face to face with Matt Dababneh and he had very quickly exposed himself and started masturbating", she said. He strongly denies the allegation. Last week, Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra, D-Pacoima, resigned in response to harassment allegations by a series of women. Notable public figures accused of harassment since Weinstein's fallShe said that after the incident, she told only her closest friends and asked them to keep it a secret from anyone at her workplace.

"I'm choosing to have hope that that process will work", Lopez said.

As of now, it certainly looks like the Ball's affiliation with UCLA is over. "I'm not sitting back and waiting", Ball said. However, a source at UCLA told ESPN's Arash Markazi that this is probably the end for the Ball family at the school.

Sherman says Barker's allegations are the first he heard of inappropriate or disparaging behavior by Dababneh. She said she has not filed a report with police.

Dababneh represents the 45th Assembly District in Los Angeles.

He said Dababneh was there for about 90 minutes and he was with him most of the time and does not remember him using the bathroom. Lopez explained that the incident occurred at a friend's wedding celebration in Las Vegas.

"It was Matt Dababneh", Lopez told The Times in a November interview.

Lopez's lawyers provided reporters with copies of a cease-and-desist letter that Patricia Glaser, chair of the litigation department at Glaser Weil Fink Howard Avchen & Shapiro, sent the lobbyist on Friday. She affirmed that Dababneh once opened his work area drawer to demonstrate her that it was loaded with condoms, and that he occupied with wrong touching, improper remarks about his sexual coexistence, and frequently flaunted and conversed with female partners or subordinates about his muscles and exercise schedule.

Lopez's attorney, Leslie F. Levy, hit back with her own letter, warning that any defamation suit brought by Dababneh would lead to extensive discovery into his reputation around the Capitol.
